Xueyu’s Divine Weapon, crafted by her master in order to harness and manifest the greatest of her potential. A true divine article of weaponry, its steel is said to not only cut through all metal and material using a sharpened water pressured blade, but also restore the wounds delivered to its bearer. An almighty spear that’s been used to subjugate both god, man and demon, as it’s potent enough to deliver a fatal blow to any who take even a cut from the spear. Due to its uniqueness, only Xueyu can wield the blade, as any who attempt to grasp or take it away have their souls burned away by the pressurized water that surrounds it.

Spear-God Gongen	Due to her long-lived life, Xueyu lived long enough to master all, if not almost every martial art that exists upon the planet. Said to even be better than Lei Gong and Mao Blakeley when it comes to spear focused and hand to hand combat, her active strength without a weapon is comparable to one with. This sort of mastery comes with an enhanced reflex, and it’s near impossible to surprise or even catch her off guard.
Dainichi Bosatsu	The Great Sun Bodhisattva, the one destined to replace the Hourai Buddha. Immutable to the change of mankind’s Lost Instruments, as the masses’ thoughts and dilutions can no longer affect her thoughts. Therefore, against all odds, the ideas and laws of Gods, the thoughts of mankind and the machinations of devils cannot manipulate her soul or break her mind.
The One Who Perceives the Sounds of the World	Xueyu, all-seeing, all-hearing, present in all forms and existent to heal those of despair, fear, and uncertainty. In combat, in exchange for her voice, Xueyu’s mind is unshaken in battle, able to perceive attacks before they’re thrown. For every attack that she dodges, an ally’s blight or bane is removed. Xueyu has mastered this power, and has the ability to transcend into the deepest part of God’s Culmination at her own leisure. She can witness beings of all manner, shape and sizes there, as well as remain undetectable by forces beyond her comprehension.
Avalokiteśvara	He Who Guides Those to Buddhahood. Xueyu uses her divine powers to shield and protect all allies and herself. However, it recharges very slowly, and can’t be used often.
Dharmadhatu	The purified mind, a state free of obscurations. Unbothered by temptations of her enemies, the strength, defense and agility of the compassionate god never wanes in the face of enemies that try to defile its state of being.
Noema: Guanshiyin	A manifestation of one’s thoughts that are made physical. It is different from a Divine Weapon, as it separates itself from one’s Will, and rather, is an one manifesting an idea from their consciousness. Its true form coats Xueyu completely in light. A true goddess and beacon of good. As such, its emanation is enough to burn away the scourges of evil from its physical manifestation. As a weapon, it turns Konpira Gongen’s blade invisible to most eyes, as the light that emits is too bright for the dimension to observe or understand. Its effects as its manifested form carry in its weaponized form, although a simple touch from Xueyu’s blade is enough to vaporize any soul who Xueyu sees as “evil.”

Lotus Mandala; Dharmadhatu: Undefinable	The Lost Instrument of Xueyu, born from the desire of “I want the world to experience eternal peace.” The cruelest form of mercy, the reincarnation of eternal kindness. Sitting itself upon a mandala containing innumerable worlds that exist within innumerable universes on end, Xueyu relives all of their suffering. All allies are cured of their blights, and their wounds are restored regardless of how severe they are; she can even reverse death itself. At the same time, Xueyu’s Lost Instrument embraces even her enemies, pacifying them, and giving them a “merciful death”, that ensures they are reincarnated into a reformed state.
Dharmodaya; Tathāgata of Brightness: Undefinable	The wrathful version of Xueyu’s Lost Instrument, born from the desire of “I want the world to experience eternal peace.” A merciless, yet kind death. Painless, but extremely slow. It is the light of Godhood, as if a blessing given to her by Prometheus itself. Because of this, one could say this is the greatest form of light magic one possesses in all creation. When pushed to anger, Xueyu’s armor shines brightly, its affliction cleansing light turned to a divine wrath. Placing the blights of all of creation upon an opponent’s body and soul, not even the most resistant of opponents can escape its wrath. Xueyu does not use this version of her Lost Instrument, as it goes against her moral code. She believes that her light should save humanity, not condemn it.

Despite being a bastard child, the courtesans in the pleasure district were overjoyed by the birth of her. There had been no life, no fortune being blessed to the pleasure district that winter.But with a star above her, they saw her birth as good fortune. When they saw the star above the child’s head, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.It was winter. Snow had come down at that time, but her birth had been flawless, and her skin was without blemishes; like finely cut jade. So, the mother of the child named her “Xueyu.”The courtesan was married to a powerful officer, one who had worked in the ranks of the government. Because of this, the child had known nothing but the luxury of life. Only the highs, not the lows. In that time, status was the only thing that mattered. With beautiful eyes that looked like the ocean, and pure white hair, Xueyu was raised to be a model child for their family.However, despite her perfection externally, there was an internal flaw. She could not speak. No words, sounds or noises came from her mouth. Silence was a great virtue, and Xueyu lived and was bound to that rule by choice. Although when discovered by her father, he had no choice to cover it up.The maiden excelled at all things. She was gifted with the ability to read, write and knew all forms of art and ceremonies. However, she became more fascinated by life outside of the wealthy. Physical things were meaningless to her, but the mind trained by the devotion to those without... Indeed, it was a fascinating process. She was mesmerized and yearned to become those without anything.While she had accomplished all things that lay before her, none of them would be beneficial unless she could benefit the world around her. As both noble and woman however, the world would not allow her this avenue of progress. She was born seven hundred years too young for her dream to actually take place.As time progressed, and she became older, she became a proper woman. But due to her inability to speak, due to her internal blemish, none would wish to wed her. Perhaps many in that era would be fine with a woman who was unable to speak, but her deficiency in the inability to talk made it impossible to approach her beauty.Xueyu remained trapped in a box. A comfortable, lavish box. A box that felt less like a home, and more like a prison. But the noble had enough of her father keeping her cooped up. Despite being a woman, she was taught martial skills; Xueyu was a powerful spear user, whose silence made her strikes and attacks vulnerable to all who relied on their sight.Such, if she could not find her peace in the world she lived in, she would throw it all away. Abandon all that had been given to her, and start anew. She could not find peace, she could not give the people peace - her true and earnest desire - trapped like a bird in a bird’s cage.She took armor and a weapon from her father’s storage, ones that wouldn’t be missed if they weren’t missing. Xueyu without a word, took off upon a horse, and left the manor that she had known. Left behind her old life, in order to pursue a new one.Silence was golden, and she followed it like a heavy tenant.Across China, she wandered. Living off the land and going from place to place. She was sixteen at the time, and she met many villages, many towns who enjoyed the prosperity of her era. Yet still, there was suffering. Suffrage takes the form of many demons, and sometimes, in a literal sense.Monsters that coexisted with humanity since the beginning, who lurk in not just her world, but in other dimensions.In order to combat these beings, she followed an association that was originally from Japan; a Chinese branch of monks that dealt with the extermination of Demons, as well as protecting the populace from their actions. While the term wasn’t coined at the time, they were an early form of Devil Summoner; those who summoned and used Demons in order to combat the rogue Demons that terrorized the land.Because of their accepting nature, the monks had allowed Xueyu into their fold. Unlike those who were of nobility, the monks who walked the earth were more in tune with the environment. They understood the sorrows of the world, and aimed to defeat the darkness so those in the light could thrive. Xueyu, although she could not speak, felt elated to find a calling that would suit her.And so, her and the traveling monks set out to protect China from its supernatural threats. Xueyu not only learned how to further refine her spear techniques, but also be able to speak and talk to Demons using her hands; communicating beyond just words. She was given a spear that had the power to command and absorb Demons, not too dissimilar to the Demon Tubes in later times.Although she could not speak, she fought silently in order to bring a new dawn and age. For every village, for every town that she brought peace to, the more she felt at peace. She was known as the “Silent Guardian” in the rural parts of China. The woman who flew by on a horse, elegant in her craft, yet delicate and gentle to all who she came across.Her beauty was never tarnished, her body was akin to a goddess. There were those that wrote stories about her, a ghost in the wind, a traveling mirage. A princess that was tied down to no province. For her, she had incarnated herself into the consciousness of all who had witnessed her actions.But for Xueyu, was that enough? Of course, she took no credit for her actions. She saw what she did as just, being able to help others was the best part. If she could save one life, then a thousand others would be saved as a domino effect. But even as she committed to her job, it was never enough.For her love was one that could not be defined simply by helping others in combat. She wanted to understand herself; be able to connect herself to both earth, sky and the heavens.Thus, Xueyu had left her band of monks, and traveled by herself. Her literacy allowed her to study the path of the Buddhist. To study both inner peace, and the idea of enlightenment. To study works that involved many who had achieved the title of “Buddha”, and to communicate with Demons that had lived and walked that path before her.She spent five years on her own. Traveling across China. Helping others, going from village to village and living on her own. There was peace, true peace in the path that she followed. Indeed, she had obtained mortal peace. But was there going to be peace in the next stages of her life? That in itself was unknown.Still, the road that she trekked was one that she committed to; letting go of material attachments, and learning all that she could to maintain her spiritual path.Darkness always finds its way into her life, and on a fateful day, it clouded her judgment, as a means to dissuade and tempt her away.Primordial darkness, primordial evil descended upon her as she meditated on the highest peak in her homeland. It had spoken to her directly, and with intent to corrupt and corrode her will.‘Son of man, daughter of mortal bonds. Why tread upon this path of kindness. Look at this world. In a world where mankind will achieve eternal death, why seek to save them?’‘I don’t need a reason to save people. I don’t need a reason to help others. If my actions inspire others, is that not enough to help the world?’ Xueyu spoke in her mind, a clear and honest voice, one that chastised the darkness.The darkness had rescinded from her mind, but only temporary. As she continued to meditate, what felt like a breadth was another day that passed.‘Son of man, daughter of imperial origin. Why not use your heritage and birth to bring the world around you to your will?’‘There is no reason for me to use what will corrupt and threaten the people. Rich or poor... you had said it yourself. If we are all going to the same place, then these terms mean nothing. To use status is only a temporary means of pleasure.’ Xueyu spoke in her mind, a determined and calm mindset.The darkness had rescinded from her mind, but only temporary. She finally opened her eyes, to see a man whose darkness was insurmountable.An unfathomable black, yet she could make out its figure. It was probably the first time anyone could make out HIS shape. His pitch blackness that emanated from the coattails of his cloth had coated the entire country, bringing with it inevitable and wanton destruction. All of it was stopped by the light that had emanated from Xueyu’s presence.He was Skandhamara; The destroyer of virtue, and the creator of Demons. “I aim to bring destruction to this land. Not just this land, but all of creation.You who have tarnished this world with your light. Why do you stand before my presence?”Of course, Xueyu could not answer his question. But the eyes that she had met him with were more than enough to satisfy him.

‘Because without light, there is no darkness. Without darkness, there is no light. If you exist in the abstract of evil, then I will always stand for the idea of good. I will never abandon the people. Helping people, and enriching their kindness, is one thing that I cannot prevent you from taking away from the people.You are Evil Incarnate. For that reason, I will never indulge in your temptation, or remove myself from your presence.’Skandhamara had laughed, egregiously at that. But He had heard enough of those words in the past. How many heroes, how many people had been killed for saying those words? This one was just like the rest.But even after they dueled, he could not break her stance. He could not break the unfathomable power that had emanated from her strength. She was his antithesis.It was impossible. How could he meet someone that would ultimately cause him to balk and falter? Someone whose light could never be extinguished? How could He, the Enlightened One, be pushed back by someone as insignificant as her?Xueyu had never yearned to be anyone special. But in the face of unfathomable evil, whether it be small or big, she would always fight. While she was not big enough to change society on a grand scale, she could tell that there were those who appreciated her changes on a smaller level.Bandits who had found new jobs after she convinced them to help instead of hurt. Crops that were more efficiently tilled after creating new water supplies. Villages that were rebuilt, reconstructed and reorganized after Demon attacks. While she and others had worked on that goal together, she always wanted to help others. Bring them to realize that with a combined strength, it is possible to change the world.Even if she would be long gone, that sense of willpower, that collective recollection of strength, had manifested itself as a force that would allow humanity’s cooperation. Why would she wish to take that away?She would never let darkness take humanity. She would never let humanity fall back into a form of apathy and darkness. She would continue to fight.Her willpower had manifested itself; into a power unbeknownst by the Enlightened One, Skandhamara. Its light was radiant, powerful and overwhelmingly bright. The collective bonds that were shared by not only herself and the world, but all she had collected had manifested itself to give her true self form.The power of Persona.With a singular divine slash, she had cut Skandhamara into two; causing the darkness to disappear, and his figure along with it. But not before grasping the world’s strongest protector, and throwing her into time itself; sending her out of her period and into a new one.Skandhamara did not admit defeat. In fact, that was the closest to death he had ever reached. However, he would not go to Taikyoku just yet. Even if he were to die, he would simply come back. Taikyoku was in his grasp, but he could still not taste it.But that woman, his pure and clear antithesis... was the greatest adversary he had ever faced. It gave him a thrill that he hadn’t felt in ages. Millennia even. She was worthy of his respect.Respect from another who had claimed to achieve enlightenment.When she had awoken, she found herself in a foreign land. One with technology she hadn’t seen before, with weapons, metal and structures that were beyond her comprehension. She didn’t know it at the time, but she was in the 20th century. 20th century Japan, in particular.As she roamed the town she was in, she wasn’t greeted or seen by anyone. For one reason or another, it had appeared that she was a ghost; even as her figure and appearance lorded over others. Many she tried to interact with didn’t even see her; perhaps small children could see her, but they were dissuaded by her parents that they simply saw things.Xueyu could not write in Japanese, nor could she interpret the language. Before she could get too far however, someone stopped her.A woman with bright red hair, her eyes were mystical and divine in ways that weren’t describable. They were spirals, unlike anything that she had seen before. Like the other had seen numerous lifetimes and periods, walking above humans, instead of with them. No, the woman before her had transcended all functions of the mortal coil; now existing as a figure that is simply Is, instead of Will or Was.“Hello there.” The woman said, looking up at the taller figure. “Are you lost? I believe that our meeting here is fate.” She extended a hand to shake. Xueyu could understand her, like the other was using a translator of some sort. It was clear she was using the native language of the land, yet still...“My name is Rongmei, the creator of the Devil Summoning Program. Just like you, I have transcended the laws that govern the soul, and now seek to bring those who are like me to enlightenment. You must be Xueyu.” Xueyu had shook her hand, and the other nodded her head with a smile. Xueyu had smiled back, and felt at ease. The woman here was filled with knowledge, and her eyes showed kindness. If this was the same world she found herself in, perhaps she succeeded.And yet, there is still so much to do. Rongmei had suspected as much, and she had said this:“Come with me. I will show you the path that you were meant to walk upon. You will assist me in helping the future, and pushing the world forward in what it was meant to be. Ah, and if you get confused by the title someone calls me...My title, or the name I go by now, is Raidou Kuzunoha. Raidou Kuzunoha the XIX.”Although she had wandered far, there was still much left in her journey.Although selfless as she was, title granted to her as the Divine Sun, there was still much that she could embrace.Even if evil had existed, Xueyu learned that even evil itself could be loved, embraced and cherished. Hence, she would forgive even the cruelest of evil, and the harshest of sins. Yes, even if it meant that “striking down” evil was love in itself, she would embrace it in her arms, and apologize.She who loves everything in creation; even destruction itself.For as she said earlier, there is no darkness without light, and no light without darkness. Hence, she trained to bring forth a world where mankind can realize this.Generations passed in a blink of an eye, and many places she traveled. When she didn’t travel, she would find herself in Rongmei’s domain, waiting for the Amatsukami to come in order to be trained. When he was trained, by her hand personally, Xueyu awarded him the title of Hitorigami; the Singular Deity.Before Xueyu had left to embark on another journey, her master had bade her goodbye; enlightening her with the information to come. Of the Preserver who will succeed her mantle, of the individual who would ultimately fulfill their place in the world.By this point, Xueyu was aware of the world. As was Raidou Kuzunoha LIX. However, the two of them worked together in preparation for the universal change that would be brought forth by the Preserver.Who is Xueyu, really?Is she a selfless woman who was able to achieve her goal in helping others? No, for she hasn’t achieved that goal yet. She is still helping others tirelessly; putting off enlightenment until she feels satisfied with her choice.Is she a naive woman who doesn’t see the true state of the world? No, for she accepts and doesn’t shy away from both good and evil. However, even with her ultimate potential peaked, there is still much to see and overcome.Who is Xueyu, really?She is human; someone with faults, someone who denies Taikyoku in order to pursue helping others reach the same destination.She is human; because she will make others smile for the sake of her own happiness. Being able to see the world happy is her joy.To laugh, to have joy, to have sadness, to have anger... All of those things define the Great Sun Bodhisattva.So, if she can achieve the state of peace without a voice,How powerful is someone’s strength, with a voice that can change the world?
